Up and running...sort of

Gave up on prepurchased Sim card. Will fight to get my $ back when i get home.

Broke down and bought a Rogers package. Don't ask. Back to my own phone no. 416 702 3190.

Heading out to shopping and restaurant area Los Rambos. And yes we will hang on to our valuables for dear life.

Our day

Hi everyone,

It was kind of an odd day. We were very glad the hotel gave us a room at 9 AM when we got in so we could sleep for a few hours.

Had tapas and paella and we are sitting listening to piano music and drinking sparkling wine and strawberries a waiter brought us. Such nice people.

Joel got my BB working with the hotel wifi so at least I can catch up once a day.

Our flight

As i write this we are 1/2 hour from landing. The horizon outside the window is a slash of orangy red

Tbe good news is the flight was right on time leaving and the flight was relatively uneventful. No sleep as it is just 1 AM EST although we land at about 7:30.

The bad news is that it was a really archaic plane with one big screen in the middle of the plane and no plugs at each seat.

Tried to watch a movie on my PlayBook but the sound of the engines made it hard to hear. I ended up reading part of a great book called The Tea Rose that is the first book of a trilogy.

I can personally attest that the PlayBook battery lasts for EXACTLY six hours.

We'll probably fall asleep on a couch in the lobby if we can't get our room.

In the limo on the way to the airport. Ridiculously early of course.

Oh well, our travel agent gave us tickets to alounge at the airport so at least we will be able to wait in comfort.
